Home + Heart + Health = Happiness?

Can the equation really be this simple? If one element is lacking – it can trust on the other 2 for support. But what if you catch yourself in a moment where 2 or all 3 are lacking?

I have a home without a house, a (metaphorical) hole in my heart and a questionable health situation. I guess the only thing I can do now is wait for the ducks to get in line. In the meantime, there’s Men At Work’s Overkill to tide me over.

I can’t get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know I’ll be alright
Perhaps it’s just imagination.

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away.

Alone between the sheets
Only brings exasperation
It’s time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation

At least there’s pretty lights
And though there’s little variation
It nullifies the night from overkill.

I can’t get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know I’ll be alright
It’s just overkill.
